Tim,
It's pretty simple. Take the following scenario for example:
frame 1: left frame (lFrame)
frame 2: right frame (rFrame)
Your form is in frame 1 and your buttons are in frame 2.
Say your form in frame 1 looks like this:
<form name="info" method="post" action="sendmail.php">
<input type="firstName" size="20">
<input type="lastName" size="20">
</form>
Now you could do buttons (not submit and reset) in frame 2 like this:
<form name="infoControls">
<input type="button" value="Submit"
onclick="javascript:top.frames.lFrame.forms['info'].submit();">
<input type="button" value="Submit"
onclick="javascript:top.frames.lFrame.forms['info'].reset();">
</form>
You could also use links around text or images like this:
<a
href="javascript:top.frames.lFrame.forms['info'].submit();">Submit</a>
<a href="javascript:top.frames.lFrame.forms['info'].reset();"><img
src="reset.gif" width="100" height="18"
border="0"></a>
There are many different ways to go about it, but they all involve
JavaScript. I hope this helps out.
Toby
