You can use URLENCODE and URLDECODE.

Subject: [PHP] serializing and urlencoding
I need to pass '+' signs via urls, as part of a string, without them being
misenterpreted. I'm trying to pass UIDL's via GET requests (strings that
look like 'y8%+fdJJsc[;66' ) but unfortunately some UIDL's contain the '+'
sign which, even after encoding & serialzing, are still regarded as spaces
and not part of the UIDL string.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...
Thanks
Chad
