PHP4 and Interbase

Hi, Can someone please advise me of how to fix the following situation: I am making use of Interbase 6.0.1, PHP4.0.1 and MS Personal Web Server on a Windows 98 machine. When I insert a record in the database and then go to a different script where I select all the records from a particular table, the records that I just inserted does not appear. The insertion did work, because if I make use of another tool to view the table and its records the records is there. Are there any way to refresh the view of the table from the PHP script. I make use of a persistent database connection (ibase_pconnect...) Surely if you execute a query against the database it must bring back the latest information available.
