Not according to a test I just ran. If it is a module, it seems to grab the
.htaccess $PHP_AUTH_USER and $PHP_AUTH_PW. I added the .htaccess file to a
directory to restrict access and then tested by placing a PHP file in that
directory that echoes $PHP_AUTH_USER and $PHP_AUTH_PW. They showed up.
