Problem with session_destroy()

Okay here's the problem I'm running into. The code is below and I'm not sure
why it's not destroying the session but it's not. If I'm doing something
wrong please let me know!

session_register("userInfo");
session_unregister("userInfo");
session_destroy();
echo "Log off complete!";
?>
