PHP errors in Apache error logs

I am attempting to configure Group Office which is a Project Management suite on FreeBSD 5.4 with apache+mod_ssl-1.3.34+2.8.25_1, MySQL 5.0.16, PHP5-MySQL 5.1.1, and PHP5.1.1 and I keep getting the following error messages in my error logs when I attempt to open a php page:
[Mon Dec 19 10:37:36 2005] [error] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function
session_save_path() in /usr/local/www/groupoffice-com-2.14-FINAL-4/Group-Office.

- Call to undefined function session_save_path()
Could someone please give me any ideas as to what the problem is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
