yes the session variable overrules the variable you
submitted through your form.
take a look at $HTTP_POST_VARS["a"] instead :)
$HTTP_POST_VARS["a"] will return 'tom' while $a
will return 'jerry'.

Now the user surfs trough different pages and comes to this site again
