Hi,
I few days back I saw a Log Analyzer based on PHP/Mysql. I hough that it
was a nice start, but not the most complete log analyzer...
Arte there any different efforts of the sort?
We currently use HTTP-ANALYZE to analyze our apache logs, but we want
something much more complex, including
- How Many Different People Visit us?
- How Many Times do these people visit us? (1 week, 1 month, everyday, 3 x
week, once, etc)
- How long each one stays at our site?
- What pages keep people on them for the most time?
and many others...
Basically what WebTrends does, but unfortunately we are unable to pay the
4,000U$ Linux license, and we are thinking of migrating to FreeBSD (they
dont have WebTrends for FreeBSD), or to Solaris (ooooh... 7,000$!)
Any ideas of a PHP set of script that can do this? Even if it ignores the
apache logs, maybe something with some session control of some sort...
We have registered users on our site, and for the unregistered users, i have
developped a system that can track users even if they are not registered, by
doing some calls to a class you canr ecognize a "Computer" that has accessed
before, through a unique ID, or a User, through his ID.
I think that this sort of thing would be needed...
I have no clue... I just know that my marketing guys are "squeezing my
balls" and beofre i tell them "Give me some money if you want good logs", or
before sitting down to write such complex code, i think i might ask you
"Knowlegable Nobleman" if you guys have any suggestions... :)
Cheers,
Roy
PS: Any help greatly appreciated! :DDD
