Hi Bill,
If you can't get that method to work, try pulling the file via FTP. I have
a special daemon on one of my boxes that pulls METAR data from the same
place, except via FTP. It seems to work fine.
The daemon I use is called FSD and is for flight simulation stuff with some
other software. It 'talks' over 3 ports, which is how I will soon be pulling
data from it for half-hour weather updates. =)

Subject: [PHP] Error Message
Can anyone tell me what the source of this error is:
Warning:
File("http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/observations/metar/stations/CYWG.TXT"
) - Transport endpoint is not connected in phpweather.inc on line 64
Basically, php cannot retrieve the file for some reason.
This function worked previously, and the file is available at this address.
Other php3 scripts on my server seem to be executing correctly.
TIA
Bill.
