php on Linux retrieving data from informix?

Hi all, We currently have Informix running on an HP Unix machine. We have successfully connected to that database from a different HP Unix machine running Apache and php. When we compiled php on the web server, we included several Informix libraries that allow us to use the php functions. This is working just fine. Now for my question: We now want to set up another machine to be able to access Informix using Apache and php, but this machine is running Linux, not HP Unix. Our techie guy was concerned that the Informix libraries I mentioned before were specific to HP Unix, and would not work under Linux. If anyone could shed some light on what we'll need to do to get this running, I'd appreciate it. Specifically: Do these libraries exist for Linux? Are they free?
