Automatically Uploading HTML files and embedded stuff

Here are the facts: I am creating a PHP script that allows me to upload both html pages and their contents (embedded images) to the server friom my local machine. IT should work in this way: 1) i submit the html file through a simple form, from my local machine; 2) a PHP script scans the file to find the URLs of embedded images, creates folders for them upon the server,...and the other stuff; 3) embedded images are uploaded; I succesfully completed step 1) & 2), but i can't automatically complete step 3): I have the URLs of the images present onto the local machine stored into PHP variables, and want them to be automatically uploaded to the server. I can't use the "<INPUT type='file'>" syntax, since i can't assign to that a pre-determined value (it is read-only), and i don't want to browse my Hard disk to find all the images each time. I need to upload them.. Any ideas?
