I use this whenever I want to set a cookie:
$lifetime = time() + 86400 * 30;
setcookie ("name", $whatever, $lifetime,"/",".mydomain.com");
.... and it works in IE and NS. My guess is that IE is still reading an old
cookie and you need to get rid of it. I can only suggest that you delete
your cookies from c:windows/cookies and c:windows/temporary internet files
and try setting it again. alternatively, do a delete cookie page and try
again.

Subject: [PHP] Cookie for Netscape only?
I'm setting a simple cookie with:
setcookie("id", $randval, time() + 14400,"/",".domain.com",0 );
Now, the function returns 1, but the cookie only gets set in Netscape. In
Internet Explorer the cookie is never set...this script used to work just
fine ( a few months back), but now it just doesn't work in IE! Any ideas on
possible problems?
Thanks,
Zach Hobbs
