Create a file named .htaccess (note the period at the beginning), and in it write:
ErrorDocument 404 http://myserver.com/error.html
Now create the page error.html, and that page will be served whenever someone requests a page that
is not in the directory (isspellings, et.)

Hello all,
I want to create a default 'Page Not Found' page for my site as
phpbuilder.com is having. So if someone hits enter without typing
completely
like www.phpbuilder.net/mai for www.phpbuilder.net/mail, this default
page
will be displayed on their screen. Do i need to manipulate the Apache
server
configuration, for this?
I am using Apache 1.3.12 and PHP 4.0 on a Redhat 6.2 machine.
Lots of thanks in advance
