Sure. See http://www.php.net/manual/function.mysql-connect.php
mysql_connect() returns a link/connection identifier. Then see:
http://www.php.net/manual/function.mysql-query.php
and you will see that
each function takes an optional link identifier as its last argument so
that if you have more than one connection you can specify which one to
use.
