I am also new-- I have been on the list for about 2 weeks now, and haven;t really understood one question posted! :) What I want to know is this- everyone keeps talking about databse stuff- mySQL, etc.. do you HAVE to run a data base to run php? I am setting up a new website and i would like it to go beyond the basicis of cgi user uploads. hence, why i want to use php. also, is there anything special that needs to be done to the web site host?
