Hello, Generally (well, actually 100%) I just use whatever version of PHP is included with a certain distro (Redhat pre-Fedora, Fedora Core, CentOS). None of the versions I've used have come with PHP5 and I'd really like to get with the times and use PHP5. I know that Fedora Core 5 offers PHP 5.1.2 but I've heard some negative things about it in general (FC5). I've never compiled PHP myself so admittedly I'm a bit skeered... Is the recommended path to just go with whatever distro I prefer and then download PHP5 from php.net and install it myself? Thanks, Chris. Build PHP from source....no reason to be scared, it really is quite painless, and the docs are fairly easy to follow.(and I *believe* php 5.1.2 has some security issues, as well as none of the nice updates for the Oracle driver if you are using Oracle, so go with 5.1.4) -Brad
