I'll bet money that there is a problem in your php code.
My guess is that you are going something like
$result=mysql_db_query($db,$query);
then later
$row=mysql_fetch_array($result);
without first checking whether the $result returned from the query was zero.
If it was zero, the query went wrong and mysql_error() will tell you why.
