Subject: [PHP] Spaces in Variable names/How to get around ' ?
I am using SQL Server 7 DB with PHP4. I am passing a variable with a
querystring like this:
search.php?Name To Search For&Submit=Search
now, in IE this is no problem, but NS gives me a HTTP 400 Error. Is there a
way I can convert the spaces to + BEFORE I send it? I suppose I could call a
JS or can I call a php function as well?
Second, when I enter something into the DB, I have to do Movie''s Name and
stripslashes() to get Movie's Name. When I do a search on Movie's Name, it
returns it no problem but if I click on it to display the information it
doesn't find the record in the DB, this is a different page it goes to so
that might be the problem but the ' seems to get passed fine from the
original page to the search page.
TIA,
jb
