You need to check out GROUP BY...it will fix your query.

Subject: [PHP] Newbie Select Question
Hi,
Sorry to bother you with a minor question. There is probably some very
simple answer :o
Can you tell me why this is not working?
SELECT u.id,u.perms,COUNT(*) FROM users u WHERE (u.perms & 16) AND u.id NOT
IN ($delstr)
It returns this error:
Error 1140 (Mixing of GROUP columns (MIN(),MAX(),COUNT()...) with no GROUP
columns is illegal if there is no GROUP BY clause)
Session halted.
Thanks,
Matt
