Please help Me for the Mail() function

Hello I have a very basic problem while using the mail() function. I am passing 4 parameters to the mail() function where in the 4th parameter is the "FROM : <my email >". So the receiver will receive my email id in his mail. But instead of printing my email address it is printing only my username followed by the mail server id of my hosting company. ie ., ravi@hostingco.net rather than ravi@indialive.net I have tried all options as given in the manual but the result is the same. Somebody please give me the reason why it it is behaving in such a strange manner. Regards Ravi
