Matt, Can you give an example of EXACTLY how your links are written. We had a similar problem in my company but I was told that making the links as so: <a href="http://www.tonos.com/">http://www.tonos.com/</a> would solve the problem. This would seem to contradict what you are saying. I will look into our solution when I return to the office on Tuesday. In the mean time, it would be helpful for me to see one of your links.
