Hiya all.
At work i build on a development server then upload to the live server after testing.
Development server has php 4.03pl1 mysql 3.22.32
live server has php 4.01.pl2 mysql 3.22.25I have built a banner ad management system that works perfectly on dev but fails on live. First of all my sql queries are failing so i start commenting everyting out until i'm left with select * from ads loop to show all of the rows. Now each time I refresh the page I get a different amount of rows. Using mysql_num_rows() I am actually getting a different amount of rows each time, same result with select count in the sql. I have tried calling mysql_close and unset($result) at the end of the script and using <?php header ("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate");?> at the beginning. I cant use mysql monitor on the live server as I don't have enough privelidges and the sytems administrator is away at the moment. I know I have different versions of software but the live server stuff is hardly ancient! BTW just for info here's the table schema, nothing fancy ID int unsigned auto_increment not null primary key image_name varchar(30) title varchar(30) current tinyint(1) default 0 active tinyint(1) default 1 method varchar(7) url varchar(50) Is this a known bug/am i doing something stupid or has mysql taken on a life of its own?
