You should have gone with the "Teach Yourself PHP in 24 hours" ......just
kidding.
<? ?> <-these are considered short tags and unless specified in the
php.ini file like so:
short_open_tag = On;
This will not work.....if you do not have rights to this there are ways
around it but I won't go into detail.
Try
<?php ?> OR
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="php"> </SCRIPT>
These are guaranteed to work on all configurations.

what is it you are trying to do.
>? //this is backwards (should be '<?')
print ""; //does nothing but print nothing.
$My_Board //could be a variable set or function call, but forgot semi-colon
</php> //try '?>'
I would suggest checking the errata section of the book's website for
information regarding misprinted code.

Hi, I'm reading the book "Teach Yourself PHP in 15 Minutes" and can't figure
out why this doesn't work:
>?
print ""; $My_Board
</php>
Could someone please re-write my code so the message board works and the
cookie is set. Should I have included() or required() the Style Sheet(which
is faster)? And please tell my why this way is better than the ASP way?
