Session not time out if server has NO visit in 30 minutes?

Hi there,
I found a strange problem in my PHP program.
Seems session won't time out if the Apache server has absolute NO visit in
30 minutes. Means, my browser is the ONLY ONE browser visiting it, and I
idel for 30 minutes, then I click one link in my page, all session variables
are still valid! - which should not!
Does anybody have the same problem with me?
