Well, you need to call the object's method passing the various
variables as $HTTP_POST_VARS[$whatever], and you also need to keep track
of the $table and $session variables and pass those as well like this:
$obj->add_item("itemtable", $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS["sessionid" /* or whatever
*?], $HTTP_POST_VARS["product"], $HTTP_POST_VARS["quantity"]);
