FTP's a much more complex protocol than HTTP. You'd probably find it much
easier to use the new FTP module in PHP4
(http://www.php.net/manual/ref.ftp.php). If you still want/need to roll your
own function, read RFC959 (ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc959.txt).
