No, I don't get any errors nor any core. It's perfectly silent.
I used to get some messages about missing libraries (libclntsh), so I
symlinked them to /lib and now no messages.

I didn't try it, but I believe, that it'll work fine. Again, if I
start
Apache without php4lib, then add it to configuration file and restart
Apache, everything goes fine, I can reach Oracle database.
