Only file with .php or .php3 extensions(or whatever your httpd.conf says,
something like:
<IfModule mod_php3.c>
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3 .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php3-source .phps
</IfModule>
in mine)
are parsed by php. htm are parsed directly by Apache
-->> if you have php embedded, your extensions have to be .php or .php3 if
you want them to be php parsed.

Oggetto: [PHP-GENERAL] php not executing in html
Heya Guys
Newbie question. I have just installed php 4, I have done as it says in the
install. When I run a file through the browser from a URL like
http://myserver/ddd.php the script runs fine, but if I have
php embedded in
a html document (using <? ?>, or <script language="php"> </script> or
<?php
?>tags) and call the http://myserver/ddd.html it does not
execute the
script. It just includes it in my html (not visible because of the tags)
instead of processing it. Whats up?
I am using:
PHP 4
Redhat Linux 6.1
Apache
Thnx
