Lost Update Problem

Hello. I would like to know what are some of the methods the members of this list use to cope with the lost update problem. For those of you who don't know, the Lost Update Problem (as far as I know) is this: When two people pull a record to perform and UPDATE query. Both pull the record at the same time, but the save it to the database at different times. Neither of the users pulling the record knows what the other is doing to the data. The last one to submit the change is the one that will be recorded. Therefore, the update of the person who submits first is lost. Thank you. -- ************************************ Ivan R.
