ftp_connect problems

I've been trying to compile php v4 with the ftp function without any success. I've perused the mailing list archive and have not found any answer to why the ftp functions aren't working. Now here's the problem. I've been using the static version of apache and compiling php with the enable-ftp (I've tried with-ftp a.l.a mailing list archives) but neither work. I still get a called to unsupported function ftp_connect error. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going wrong? _______________________________________________________ Get 100% FREE Internet Access powered by Excite Visit http://freelane.excite.com/freeisp
