Hi all,
hope someone can help mi with this question:
I'm using php4.0.3pl1 with Zend optimizer on a WinNT 4.0 machine with IIS
4.0, and the latest mysql release. (Sory, I'm to lazy to check the exact
version numver:) I would like to use php as an ISAPI filter because we use
the machine as a worgroup and mail server and it's under a heavy load.
I followed the installation instructions found on php.net, and it seemed to
work fine.
All of a sudden I realized that IIS is munching up all the resources, and
when I try to stop teh service i get the error: the service is not
responding to the controll function. If I try to kill the process from the
task manager, I get an acces violation error. The only way to regain
controll over the system is to reboot it. I think you can imagine the
reaction of the employees when they receive the "server is going down for a
reboot" message several times a day...
So I changed to the CGI version, and it seems to work fine.
The strangest thing is that the problem did not occur with the 3.x and 4.0.0
versions of php.
I' would like to now, if anyone else came across this problem and found a
solution?
Thanks in advance:
