Hello -
Yes, I'm one of those people with annoying questions!
I had installed the Apache 1.3 with PHP3 support package that's available
on the ports tree for FreeBSD 3.4-STABLE. Orignally I was able to write
code that worked well with my local MySQL server. Then I attemped to
upgrade to PHP4, which for some wierd reason kept my apache server from
starting. Upon downgrading back to PHP3 I am no longer able to get MySQL
working again. I have attempted to completely reinstall Apache and the
PHP3 module but I consistantly get:
Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function mysql_connect() in
auth.htm on line 34
(This previously worked fine!)
Thanks for your help. I'd appreciate it if you could respond directly to
my email box: edgar@bala.qc.edu, because its difficult for me to read
through the entire list everyday. :)
