Hello,
I'm having problems creating a self-contained PHP extension in C. I've
taken the following steps to create a (rather empty) extension, based on
the information in README.EXT_SKEL and README.SELF-CONTAINED.... (The
following is from memory, so some of the names may be slightly off)
First I've build PHP-4.0.3pl1, and then I've entered ext/ and typed:
./ext_skel --modulename=myfoo
Then I copied the myfoo/ directory to somewhere else, entered the dir an
did a
phpize
Then I edited the config.m4 file and uncommented the bottom one of the
ARG_something thingies, so I could --enable-myfoo=shared. Sorry about
being so vague.
Next I I ran
./configure
make
make install
Unfortunately 'make install' fails because a myfoo.so hasn't been
created. How can this happen, when 'make' runs without errors? A
myfoo.lo has been created and a myfoo.la, but no .so.
What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it?
Cheers,
Thomas
