You have printed something out before you sent the cookie
Check for blank lines before your <?php line eg
<?php
SetCookie ("x","y",30,"\");
?>
Also check that you haven't printed anything to the browser - eg
<?php
print "here";
SetCookie ("x","y",30,"\");
?>
In php4 you can now buffer output - have a look at the php configuration
file for details.
