ODBC/MySQL Problem with PHP4 on Windows

I have been using PHP 3 on Windows 98/NT with PWS and Apache using ODBC and MySQL with no problem.
However when I upgrade to PHP4, all my applications blew up, I keep getting "Warning: Supplied
argument is not a valid ODBC result source in..." and similar messages with MySQL. The
applications won't run. Happens both on Apache and PWS on Windows NT and 98.
The same code works on a Linux box running PHP4.03 and a DEC Alpha machine. Therefore, I suspect
that the PHP4 binaries (which claims to have ODBC and MySQL build-in) in fact has NOT built with
ODBC and MySQL support. I might be wrong. But please help me to figure out this problem. I have
followed all the installation instructions I could find on the web and am stuck here!
