Folks,
For all of you that have torn your hair out trying (unsuccessfully, if
you're anything like me) to get mod_perl and PHP working together, somebody
submitted an Ask Slashdot question on the topic.

There are some suggestions that this might be related to a CFLAGS problem
<http://bugs.php.net/bugs.php?id=7211> or a
largefile problem
(-D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64). I don't promise to have any
answers, or that Slashdot users will, but perhaps something will come of it.
