"session.use_cookies specifies whether the module will use cookies to
store the session id on the client side. Defaults to 1 (enabled)."

configuration settings using directives in Apache configuration files
and .htaccess files."
Now, I'm not positive you can change the session settings by using an
.htaccess file.
Try it.
