Hi, all. If there is a better list-serve to post this notice (below) for
PHP developers for this benevolent project I'd be glad to learn of it.
We are looking for developers in Washington, DC to contribute to this
project. We are open to international contributions but first must find a
couple locally-based people to adsorb the plan (already one year in design)
and build a foundation that others may add to.
Thanks,
Mark

Seeking PHP Developer(s) for Showpiece Site
Fluidarity is a completely volunteer group of internationally-oriented
web-developers & grad students that is building a fast funding system for
relief projects, development projects, documentaries and other benevolent
projects. The overall set of processes is large-scale, scalable, very low
cost, and able to be used in many different countries. We are seeking a
person or two versed in PHP who can work with our other coders and designers
to implement and incorporate novel applications into a flagship site. While
this system can expedite a range of projects, our eyes are on the prize: a
special module that is an ultra-fast emergency funding procedure. If we get
enough support it may be as early as April, 2001 that when a disaster
strikes, this system will strike back even faster.
Requirements:
*Understanding of database design; 2-3 years experience using SQL
*Strong HTML, JavaScript skills
*2+ years experience utilizing PHP, to include SQL calls to MySQL databases,
designing user validation procedures and creating class definitions
