$PHP_AUTH_PWD isn't encrypted!
SQL'ing
select * from user where
strcmp(encrypt('$PHP_AUTH_PW',substring(passwd,1,2)),passwd)=0;
you can check your db (passwd is the field with UNIX-passwd)
witch insert into user (username,passwd) values('foo',encrypt9'bar'));
zou can insert your stuff
