I have a formless script that calculates the items selected by the surfer and places the results into a DB. When this is completed, I want to go to a form and pass along some parameters in the URL. The script below works, but I do not understand exactly why or what each of the lines is doing. It would be of great help if someone could explain the lines. In particular: My class takes the input data and opens the port and "sends" the data with a GET. I assume this is the same as what a Form does when it is submitted, so if I understand it correctly, I have mimiced an INPUT FORM. $query = "GET $abs_url HTTP/1.0\r\n". "Host: $host:$port\r\n". "User-agent: PHP/class http 0.1\r\n". "\r\n"; I do not understand the "<BASE HREF=\"http://210.204.172.137/test/php/test.php\"><p>" or the fpassthru($fp). The $fp is the port that I have opened, but when I put in close($fp), I get an error. Any help is greatly appreciated........... Todd <?php include "http.class"; $http = new http; $fp = $http->http_fget("210.204.172.137", "/test/php/test.php?Message=Hello&Param1=Test1&Param2=Test2&Param3=Test3"); if($fp) { print "<BASE HREF=\"http://210.204.172.137/test/php/test.php\"><p>"; fpassthru($fp); } else { print "Sorry, the server is not currently available"; exit; } ?> -- Todd Cary Ariste Software todd@aristesoftware.com
