Now this isnt by any means the easies answer, but here goes.
compile php without the --with-apxs option and you'll get an executable
php program.
php -q test.php
-q tells it to be quite and not send the HTTP headers, there area few
things to consider with your script here, there will be no Apache defined
varibles set, like $SERVER_NAME or $DOCUMENT_ROOT.
while test.php is running you can type
top
and get more information about that process. Now I will say again,
there must be an easier way....
