1) Have a look at the relevant rfc's
http://www.tac.nyc.ny.us/mail/rfc-index.html
(Pretty much all the rfc's...)
2) Write a couple of regex expressions.
probably something along the lines of
$mailfrom=eregi ("FROM:.*\r\n");
(This possibly is not a good regex - I usually refer to the excellent
Regular Expressions book from O'Reilly).
However, thats rolling your own!
Cheers,
Lawrence.

Subject: [PHP] Parsing single mail message from a file
Hi,
I've searched high and low and can't find a class or function to parse mail
headers passed to it through either a string or array variable, or from a
file.
I'm looking for something similar to Mail::Header in Perl.
I can't use IMAP or POP3 to read these messages, before anyone suggests that
:)
Anyone have any ideas before I do a "roll-your-own"? :)
Thanks in advance :)
Mark
