Assuming your server is some flavour of unix, have a look in the
man pages:
man 5 procmailrc (for details of the procmailrc files)
man 5 procmailex (for examples of procmail recipes)
A procmailrc file contains a set of rules on what to do when an
email is received. One of the things you can do is pipe the body
or headers of the email into an external script for processing.
If you've compiled PHP as a standalone interpreter, that could
be your PHP script directly. If you've compiled it as an apache
module then things are a little more complicated, you'll have to
find someway of submitting the email to the web server (using
curl, snarf, wget or something similar I suppose).
