The URL should look more like this;
www.xxx.org/pics/picview.phtml?image=/images/pic.jpg&caption=Picture%20of%20me%20and%20my%20dog&title=The%20Title
note the ampersands (&) instead of the question marks.
Then in picview.phtml you can just access the variable created from the GET
parameters in the URL string eg;
echo "<br>image= $image".
"<br>caption = $caption".
"<br>title = $title";
etc., etc., etc.
