Create a file named phpinfo.php that has just this in it:
<?php phpinfo();?>
You can test php from a DOS prompt:
c:\php4\php -f c:\inetpub\wwwroot\phpinfo.php
You can test one in the browser by surfing to:
http://127.0.0.1/phpinfo.php
