Developing dynamic WML-applications with PHP aren't that different
from developing HTML-applications. Ofcourse the markup differs, and
WML is a lot more strict than HTML. Some things to remember though:
1. You have to make sure correct content-type is sent. For WML this
is text/vnd.wap.wml. So stick the following at the top of your script:
header("Content-type: text/vnd.wap.wml");
2. Since WML itself is an XML-application it used similar tags as PHP.
XML-documents begin with <?xml version="1.0"?> and if you use short
open tags for PHP this will cause problems. Make changes to your
php.ini or similar to disable short open tags.
You can find an article at Zend.com where this is described in more
detail: http://www.zend.com/zend/tut/wap.php
