I'd suggest that it's probably the reason your insert isn't
working. Add your mysql_real_escape_string() stuff there, and then
change your error bit to:
<?php
// ....
mysql_query($query) or die("SQL: ".$query."<br />\nError:
".mysql_error());
// ....
?>
