Having trouble creating a drop-down menu using the following code:

$color = mysql_result($result,$i,"color");
echo htmlentities("<option>$color</option>");
/* also tried but no-go: PRINT "<option>$color</option>"; */

The above puts the string: "$color" into the dropdown menu
