Unless there's something wierd going on at your POP3 server, the default
behavior of PHP's IMAP libraries is that messages are marked for deletion
using the imap_delete() function, and actually deleted from the server using
imap_expunge(). (An expunge can also be done automatically when you close
the IMAP connection by including the CL_EXPUNGE flag in either your
imap_open() or imap_close() call.)
In other words: Don't worry..messages shouldn't be deleted from the server
until you tell the server to delete them.
