Hi there,
Some time ago I tried to compile the php 4.0.2/4.0.3pl1 with the
--enable-sockets flag .. but I have a lot of trouble when
compiling the /ext/socket.c
I alredy had tried to compile it in some plataforms/gccs versions
like :
- Solaris 2.6/2.7
- RedHat Kernel 2.2.16
- gcc 2.8.1/2.2.95
I used the configure flags below:
./configure --with-apxs=/opt/apache-1.3.14/bin/apxs --enable-sockets
Take a look the output from the make command below :
sockets.c: In function `php_if_getsockname':
sockets.c:636: warning: passing arg 2 of `getsockname' from incompatible
pointer type
sockets.c: In function `php_if_getpeername':
sockets.c:732: warning: passing arg 2 of `getpeername' from incompatible
pointer type
sockets.c: In function `php_if_connect':
sockets.c:849: parse error before `1'
sockets.c:875: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:900: invalid lvalue in assignment
sockets.c:901: invalid type argument of `->'
sockets.c: In function `php_if_bind':
sockets.c:971: warning: passing arg 2 of `bind' from incompatible
pointer type
sockets.c:994: warning: passing arg 2 of `bind' from incompatible
pointer type
sockets.c: In function `php_if_recvfrom':
sockets.c:1333: parse error before `1'
sockets.c:1343: invalid lvalue in unary `&'
Ok, it seems to be alot of warnings and errors inside of that
source ...
But, does anybody there already had any problems about " --enable-sockets " flag ?
May I forgot something when compiling that ?
It´s strange, because I tried to compile in alot of plataforms/versions and got the same errors ...
Does anybody there have any idea ?
thanx for your help .
Regards,
Franklin Eufrasio
